For Boortmalt, that is currently evolving from a European company into a global company, we are looking for a Corporate Lawyer.


As Corporate Lawyer, you will be responsible for all legal matters within the newly formed global organisation, reporting to the Group Administration & Indirect Procurement Manager. You will actively be involved in the company’s corporate household, finance, HR, commercial and production legal practices.

In this role, your core responsibilities will be to ensure legal compliance of the business unit, provide legal support and business-oriented legal advice in the broadest sense and in particular on commercial, manage disputes and claims with third parties, participate in general corporate matters and liaise with external lawyers, assist in subsidiary capitalisations, inter company lending and other agreements, share transfers, powers of attorney, subsidiary mergers and liquidations and assist in protecting the legal interests of the company and its subsidiaries in judicial or other proceedings utilising external counsel when required.


  • Hold a Master degree in law in at least one jurisdiction in the European Union and possess excellent academic credentials
  • Experience in an international corporate law firm setting or in-house public company experience (minimum of five to eight years), preferably with a focus on international transactions
  • Proficient and accurate with word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), presentation programs (PowerPoint), charting and graphs
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Dutch. French is a plus
  • A well-organised individual who is able to establish a strong internal network and external network and communicates effectively regarding the status and developments of the tasks assigned
  • Prioritise work by understanding competing priorities and make appropriate judgments regarding relative importance and delegate where necessary
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, company policy and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write business reports and correspondence
  • Be punctual and detail-oriented
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers, employees, and management
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists
