Their journey to conquer Europe has just started with a huge brand new office and warehouse in Amsterdam. Currently, we are looking for a Hospital Systems Specialist who will be experiencing this amazing journey right from the start. You will be one of the first employees of this team, which offers a lot of opportunity to grow and further develop within the company.


Within this role you are responsible for providing technical support and service, managing client relationships, and ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction and loyalty as the primary contact for the products and services of this company. You will be providing 2nd to 3rd level technical support in LAN/WLAN, WLAN, and VLAN in hospital environments. Besides, you are the subject matter expert in regards to hospitals systems for the support organisation and design engineering department. Next to that, you will be providing technical training to support staff and work closely with QA, regulatory, engineering, operations to discover root cause.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Providing field and remote support for our client’s products, solutions and technology including OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) devices
  • Receiving and responding to telephone calls and emails from end-users
  • Promptly reporting customer complaints per the requirements defined in our client’s Quality System
  • Supporting / troubleshooting system problems; including configuring and coordinating with our client, vendors or hospital staff (nursing, doctors maintenance, IT and biomedical) on the support of all component items including such items as cables, routers, access points, bridges, and switches
  • Initiating repair / replacement of failed and / or defective products
  • Performing repairs on customer returned products
  • Performing periodic Functional Verification, upgrades and unscheduled service calls as needed
  • Providing technical support to our client’s Sales Representatives during pre-sales activities
  • Assisting customers in the proper use of our client’s products, solutions and technology
  • Identifying potential Customer training issues and proposing solutions
  • Following-up to ensure closure of product and training issues to ensure overall customer satisfaction is achieved
  • Conveying information from the field regarding product suggestions, improvements and enhancements to Product Marketing
  • Implementing service sales strategies
  • Monitoring technical support process and procedures and initiating changes to optimise the process
  • Managing and triaging escalations for key customers to ensure proper and timely resolution
  • Advocating for customers by identifying improvement opportunities in services and products quality and performance


The ideal candidate has:

  • Several years medical, biomedical or network experience
  • Knowledge of networking using TCP/IP protocol in a Wireless environment

  • Knowledge of 802.11x standards
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, troubleshooting, electronics and design;
  • Established self-starter with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong ‘hands-on’ skills, with ability to perform detail-oriented work with high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical staff
  • Excellent and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Effective multi-tasking capabilities
  • Demonstrated technical writing ability with good organisational skills
  • Understanding of networking and medical terms and concepts;
  • Willingness and ability to travel with little notice
  • Flexible and able to ‘change gears’ to accomplish goals
  • Fluent in Dutch language and English is required. Other languages are a plus


This role gives you the chance to:

  • Expected salary range is between €42,000 and €52,000 depending on your experience and expertise
