Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology Lead - London

For a scientifically renowned company, active in over 40 countries, we are looking for a Quantitative Clinical Pharmacology Lead in either Brussels or London. This company already brought multiple successful drugs to the market and have the goal to always be at the forefront of technological and scientific innovation. Unlike other established pharmaceutical companies, this organisation focusses on treating the cause of disease rather than the symptoms, therefore having a large impact on people’s lives.


As a Lead Quantitative Clinical Pharmacologist, you will be part of an international team responsible for all clinical pharmacology projects within the company. You will be able to work on immunological as well as CNS diseases and develop yourself in both small and large molecules. Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Work A to Z from early clinical development up until life-cycle management
  • Define the overall development science strategy
  • Lead matrix teams (QCP, modeling and simulation, DMPK (NCE), toxicology and bioanalytical)
  • Represent these disciplines in broader development teams
  • Manage both internal and external expertise to timely reach milestones
  • Define and execute the quantitative clinical pharmacology strategy
  • Implement model based drug development, both trial design and execution
  • Maintain and expand UCB networks, both with academics and industrial partners
  • Representative at internal strategic and governance bodies


You will bring the following skill set/experience:

  • Minimally PharmD, Ph.D. in chemistry or equivalent
  • Quantitative pharmacology expert
  • Multiple years of industry experience as project representative
  • Previous responsibility in defining overall development science strategy and input
  • Experience in leading a matrix team
  • Visibility in the Quantitative Pharmacological Community

Ideally you bring:

  • Small and large molecule experience
  • Immunology and CNS experience
  • Experience in the whole development cycle and life cycle management
