As Business Development Manager you will take them to the next level by initiating discussions with prospects for service contracts, leading the formulation of term sheets and quotes, developing plans and strategies for the technology and product portfolio, monitoring progress through milestone achievements, staying abreast of technology and product developments within the organisation, competitors, and potential partners, contributing to the organisation's technology portfolio by engaging with the relevant market, investigating and co-developing the product portfolio, gathering information at (inter)national meetings for integration into business development activities, and actively participating in organisational strategic meetings, while also creating and managing the budget for business development.

Wat jij mee brengt

As Business Development professional you recognise yourself in the following:
  • BSc or MSc in life sciences/biology, for instance Science, Business & Policy track, and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in an SME;
  • Business experience in the field of biotechnology and/or in vitro diagnostics;
  • Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and running a lab;
  • Relevant network in this field;
  • MBA and/or experience with drafting agreements and quotes are a plus, just as knowledge of ISO13485 and the IVDR;
  • Passion for growing relationships, the business, a team and yourself;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in Dutch, English;
  • The ability to travel internationally at least once per 2 months.
